FAQs

When should I arrive in Skopje?

Whenever you want, but Wednesday, May 28th is probably best. We’d love to host you out on the river in Matka on Thursday and for dinner in Skopje on Friday. Wednesday is also a good arrival day for time acclimation if you travel directly from the US.

Can I bring my partner/friend/parent?

If your invitation says 'and Guest,' then yes, you're welcome to bring someone! If not, but you have someone in mind, please get in touch with us. Numbers are limited, but we'll do our best to accommodate additional guests where possible.

Can I bring my children?

If you have very young children for whom you cannot arrange childcare, then you are welcome to bring them. Otherwise, we would kindly ask that you leave your older kids at home unless we have specifically invited them as well!

Currency? Phone Plans?

Though credit cards can be used at most restaurants, its good to have cash for taxis and other various things. One euro exchanges for about 60 Macedonian Denars, the dollar for a little less. Skopje, in general, is a pretty good place to exchange currencies, and the best exchange rate in Skopje can be found here.

To buy a cheap data plan, go to an A1 store and get a new sim card which costs around 7 USD and comes with 20GB of data.

Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?

You can always contact Mishel (+389 76 972 907) or Nathan (+1 707 295 7547), preferably through Whatsapp.

Should I bring anything?

Nothing in particular! Just make sure to review your airline(s) baggage allowance and the weather in Macedonia beforehand.

Is Skopje Safe?

Very. Mishel and Hana grew up walking alone at night as kids. Just keep track of your belongings and avoid silly tourist mistakes.
